Well... almost.

My plans never run smoothly, so why should I think that this Halloween's fancy dress organising should be any different?

This year I have decided to indulge my Alice in Wonderland obsession by dressing as Alice. Dan's not so much into the whole fancy dress/Halloween thing, but that doesn't mean he's escaped my second most favourite of dates! (The first being Christmas, naturally.) I'm dressing him as the white rabbit...

...and I don't mean he's wearing bunny ears and a fluffy tail. He's going to be wearing a full sized white rabbit suit! I found one online, it was £16.00, it was okay. However, when I saw how good mine was going to be (quality of costume, not inhabitant) I decided to up the bunny stakes by ordering a £78.00 one instead.

So I wait... and wait... and wait some more. Today the FedEx van still did not arrive, so I called the warehouse. The nice girl at the other end told me that the bunny suit I'd ordered hadn't been instock, but due to their error on the website they were going to upgrade me to the 'White Bunny Deluxe' (which is worth about £175) for no extra charge!

How much of a result is that??

Not a bad investment considering Dan'll get drunk because he doesn't know my friends. I'll get drunk because I do and I'll probably finish the evening in a corner stroking my boyfriend's fake bunny ears and trying to force feed him carrots!

Happy Halloween everyone. x

You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your ipod or mp3 player and write down the first 25 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful. That is the fun! Then tag your friends.

2. Spineshank - Smothered
3. Crossfade - So Far Away
4. Bleeding Through - For Love And Failing
5. Fightstar - Tonight We Burn

10. Pennywise - Every Time
11. New Found Glory - Failure's Not Flattering
12. All That Remains - Home To Me
13. Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl
14. NOFX - Party Enema
15. Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly - I Spy
16. 5ive - Don't Wanna Let You Go

Yeah, sorry, but I may be making a reappearance... just something little, Dickensian if you will. It's an adaptation.

It's started, but I had to go out and rebuy the basis for the story because I got stuck.

I should be posting around the start of December... a little Christmas treat, a bit like last year.

So keep your eyes open ;)

• NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
• They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.

Weirdly I don't really want to be online that much anymore... It's nothing to do with anyone, I don't have any mad rantings or blame to hand out. I just feel like perhaps this was taking up far too much of my life and that shouldn't have happened. Yes, I do have certain distractions going on that I didn't have before and my laptop is currently out of action - something's wrong with the fan, so it's pretty much melting itself everytime I turn it on! Which is why I haven't updated anything, because all my stories are in the hard-drive, but I'm planning on getting it looked at so you won't have to wait too long. I appreciate that people enjoyed what I've written and I'm not about to stop posting and leaving people in limbo.

The one thing I'm checking mostly is my facebook, because it's the easiest to look at on my mobile. If you want to add me you're more than welcome, but leave a note when you do so I know you're through LJ. My username is josafiend and I'm sure you'll know it's me if you find me :)

I'll update soon, and I'll let you know how Sonisphere goes, Limp Bizkit have confirmed for the weekend now so I'm ecstatic! Avenged, LB, Machine Head and NIN? Could it get any better?

Take care you lot!

Dan left at nine-fifteen this morning :( I'm trying desperately to keep myself occupied until Thursday, when I'm planning on driving up to Cleethorpes with Matty V and Cay to see him. I feel slightly ridiculous, but I just love being with him.

We went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last night, it was fucking incredible!

Dan goes away for the week, his mum is paying for him to have a family bonding session by the sea. For purely selfish reasons I want him to stay here with me...

I'm going to see Transformers in a little bit, after I've met his dad. I was so nervous I was made up, dressed and ready about an hour ago and he doesn't finish work for another seven minutes (and that's before he's spent twenty minutes on the bus.)

In other news, I'm disappointed - which is why I haven't come on here or really gone online at all much since I got back from Download.

Ever felt that you should have paid a little more attention?

My life is spectacular right now...

Wotcher! I'm back! Well technically I've been back since Sunday night, but everything's been a bit mental since then so I've not had time to post.

This post has the potential to be a bit massive, so I'll try and get through it as quickly as possible.

I had my emotional goodbye with my laptop on Tuesday night, set my alarm for half six in the morning and went to sleep, rising bright and early five and a half hours later. Off to my mum's to collect my tickets (she has to look after them or I have a real chance of losing them) and then up to Stapenhill to fetch Day and meet the boys for breakfast. We pulled up to Donington at about nine, and only had to wait till half eleven to be let in. I swear I was already tipsy by the time I put my tent up! Dan phoned at half six, and came to meet me - me having already explained to Day (using Twilight for my description) that I had actually 'imprinted', which he thought was hilarious.

I won't treat you to all the gory details, but will say, ecstatically that Dan and I are officially a couple and I couldn't be happier at this moment about it! It turns out he's been after me for about a year, it's just I was too wrapped up in Avenged to realise it, which maked me kind of sad, because I could have felt this amazing so much earlier...

I digress..

Fast forwarding to the first day of the festival, we trot down to the stages, Kev having a minor temper tantrum because I'm forcing everyone I'm with to watch Hollywood Undead. Kev is (if I'm honest) a bit of a conceited snob when it comes to music, basically if you don't like the bands he likes then your taste is shite. I slip into la-la land when he starts talking about music, it's a defense mechanism, otherwise I'd punch him! Anyway, Hollywood Undead were absolutely stunning, and went down well with the whole crowd, which kind of surprised me, because they're so different to the rest of the bands at the festival. They took their masks off halfway through the set which confused me, but also made me happy, because one of them is properly cute!

After that came the wait for the mighty Limp Bizkit a band I've been in love with for almost as long as I can remember. Day, Tiv and I crept our way into the crowd while the previous band (Killswitch Engage - Yay for Howard!) finished and got almost to the front. When LB came out the whole fucking place went up, it's been six years since they played the UK and you could feel how overjoyed everyone in that arena was to have them back! They placed the classics, got two guys up from the crowd to meet them onstage, I broke my belt in the mosh, almost had my hair torn out and lost at least one layer of skin off my shins... and I LOVED EVERY FUCKING SECOND OF IT!!

Other bands that day included Korn and Faith No More. I can't say I was overly impressed with the latter, I never really got into their music and by the time they came on I was really cold and achey, so we waited for 'Epic', which is one of only two songs I know and then went back to camp.

Saturday was biggie day, loads of bands I wanted to see, culminating in the arrival of Slipknot to the stage as headliners. Got down to the main stage in time for Five Finger Death Punch who were really good, then DevilDriver and Hatebreed although we left halfway through their set because I wanted to see Fightstar on the second stage. Gosh I love Charlie's eyebrows, it's almost wrong! Then came the most terrifying moment of the weekend, I nipped to the toilet and when I came back a swarm of fucking BEES had descended on the crowd. I just stood there and stared, thinking 'There's no fucking way I'm going in there!' Day had to come and get me, promising they wouldn't sting because they were moving from one place to another. It was crazy!!

We watched Static-X and then went for a wander, taking in some DragonForce who were, quite honestly, disappointing and then Pendulum who were absolutely amazing. I have to remember to put more of their stuff on my ipod because I was really really impressed!

So we had this idea, to go and watch The Prodigy and then swing back to the main stage for the end of Slipknot's set. But when we got to the second stage the sound wasn't so good, and I kept staring forlornly at the main stage while they built it up for Corey and Co. I don't know, it suddenly felt wrong for me not to be watching that band... so we went back, and I got really far into the crowd, right beside the circle pits, and it fucking owned!!! Slipknot were easily the best band of the whole weekend, they were note and word perfect, Corey was fantastic! He even made me cry when he was talking about how they've been around for over ten years (2009 is the ten year anniversary of their debut album release) and how the band have so much love for the fans who have stuck with them - of which I am one of them. I lost my voice I was screaming so loud and long, singing to every song! When they played 'Spit It Out' everyone got on the floor for the 'Jump the fuck up!' part and Corey got emotional too! I was stupidly buzzing when they finished and had to walk back to camp by myself because I'd lost everyone in the crowd.

Saturday night was also the night we got Kev paraletic on unknown spirits. For some reason we started playing Mallet's Mallet (only without the bonking someone over the head, our forfeit was to drink something which tasted like acid mixed with paint thinner). Trouble is, my mates are mean fuckers, so when it got past me to Day, he'd throw in a word from his girlfriend's doctor training and Kev just got more and more wasted. He even took on Steg in a one-on-one and tried to use the word 'porn' three times in the same run. So being the nice people we are, we decided to take him to the funfair in the village to see if we could make him puke! This was after he'd needed three people to take him to the toilet - where he asked other people at the urinals to dance! *Shakes head*

So Steg took him on the dodgems, Day took him into the fun house and Tiv took him on something which looked like it would feel like being in a blender. Still no pukage, so on the way back to the camp we tried to trade him for another guy who'd been wrapped in duct tape by his 'mates' and had a bottle of cider strapped to his hand. [Un]Fortunately for us, they kept their own friend so we took Kev back and had to lure him back into his tent with a can of Strongbow!!

Sunday was pretty boring, we didn't even go to the arena until about four and I only wanted to see Papa Roach all day. I was pretty miserable that day anyway, Dan had left my tent that morning and I knew I wouldn't see him all day because both our phones were dead :( Thankfully Jacoby didn't disappoint and I sang my way through their set fairly happily, glad to hear him say (again) that they'd be back in October, so that'll be three times this year!

We went home after that, we could have stayed another night (and I considered going back after dropping Day back home but I couldn't be bothered dealing with the traffic on Monday). Got into my house at about half ten, housemates pleased to see me, I was pleased to see my bed and swiftly fell unconscious.

To anyone else who went, I hope you had as amazing a time as I did and if you watched the bands I did then thank you, you all showed them the love and respect they deserve.

Roll on Sonisphere!!

So tomorrow (well, today really) is my last day before Download and I'm bouncing with joy! Seriously, I love this festival to death. Not only because the line-up is Brianfierce this year but also because it's held in my hometown (ten minutes from my mum's house) and I know so many people who are going!

There's so many bands there I want to see that I know I'm going to have to sacrifice one or two. Especially since I heard that The Prodigy and Slipknot do clash now - Matty says it's because The Prodigy refused to have their start time brought forward because they wanted to play in the dark... how fucking ridiculous is that? They're in the Second Stage tent anyways, that's just pure selfish! I'm tempted to fuck them off and watch Corey & Co. now, cut my nose off to spite my face!

The bands I'm desperate to see?

♫ Limp Bizkit - Before Avenged there was the Bizkit, and the Bizkit was good, but Avenged were just better :)

♫ DragonForce - Mach three metal! They always play amazing at Download, I shall be dancing my ass off and singing opera once again!

♫ DevilDriver - Missed them last time because they clashed with Stone Sour, not this time!

♫ Fightstar - Yes, I have a slight crush on Charlie. Shoot me! :D

♫ Papa Roach - They took the fucking roof off the Birmingham Academy so there's no way I'm missing their set on Sunday!

♫ Hollywood Undead - It may just be a phase, but I'm loving the whole rap-metal thing at the moment. Need to see them live to make my mind up properly.

♫ Lacuna Coil - Gonna hook up with my girl Holly to see these guys, Christina's voice gives me chills!

There's stacks more I'm going to try and fit in, hopefully I won't get trampled to death watching Korn this time. That was kinda cool (like Brian almost drowning) it was scary, but at the same time completely amazing!

I still need to get some beers, I should have got them already, I'm completely sketch :( A trip to Asda may be required tomorrow afternoon...

If you're going and you see me, don't be shy and say hey. I have different colour hair now (purple) and I'll probably be wearing Vengeance University gear. Come have a beer with me!

So, I just woke up and it's quite early, which is practically unheard of for me. The last couple of nights I've been going to bed at a reasonable time and not chatting away on MSN for hours into the morning, and I feel good!

I have a text message on my phone from my mum, it's a little bit cryptic, but I'm assuming it means my Download ticket has arrived. This makes me deliriously happy, because I really can't wait to get up there and get my tent up! I'm going to the supermarket this afternoon to get my supplies so really I need to be thinking about making a list...

2x Bottles of Jagermeister
2x Bottles of Amaretto
1x 18 can crate of Carling
1x Blackcurrant cordial
(plus food which won't go off/explode)

I have my new Vengeance University tattoo tomorrow morning, which I'm worried about. Not because it's a tattoo... I already have five, but I got horrendously sunburnt the other day (drinking in the sunshine isn't for winners) and although it's not too bad I have a line right across where the new ink's headed. My shoulders and chest took the brunt of it, I've been dousing myself in after-sun and it still hurts!! I tried to have a bath last night, which was a pointless activity because I couldn't even drop my legs in the water...

So, yeah. Today I will mostly be job hunting, because apparently next Wednesday is my last day at the airport (thanks to my stupidity) and I still don't have anything to take over from it! Fucksticks! I've thought about asking if I can carry on... infact *has brainwave* I know what I'm going to say :D Yes!! I'll tell them the job I'm going to has pushed back my start date! Oh my life! I'm a genius!!

Doctors tomorrow afternoon. I'm quite looking forward to seeing him, my mum thought he was crap but I found him really helpful (even if he did compare me to the computer system crashing...) he's probably going to put me on something stronger, or have news about the referral, whatever, it's just nice to be getting things in some form of normality.

That's us up to date I think... I'll be taking my notebook to Download, we have two days there before the bands start so I'll need something to do besides picking on Kev and the drinking :)

No Kyleigh this year (she should be coming to Sonisphere though) so I'm tent sharin with Day, who's awesome. I'll miss my festival buddy, she rules <3

xx
